Here Are Three Common Issues You Might Experience With Your Boiler

Boilers are responsible for distributing hot water within your home or a commercial building through pipes. They also provide steam for heating purposes within your home as well. Problems with your boiler can be troubling. With the colder months approaching, you might be experiencing more issues than not with your boiler. Luckily, a lot of common problems are easy to detect. With that being said, here are a few issues that you can easily spot with your boiler.

Here are a few common boiler issues.

Your Boiler Is Constantly Leaking

A leaking boiler is one of the more predominant issues one might experience. Leaks can not only cause damage to your home, but they can also create problems for the electrical components surrounding your boiler. Leaking boilers often stem from the following: excessive boiler pressure, corroded pipes, faulty equipment, or leaks from seals. If you find a leak, you should always proceed with caution and reach out to the professionals at W.E. Kingswell if you experience any with your boiler.

Hot Water But No Central Heating

Another common issue with your boiler is that your home can produce hot water but no heat. This can happen if there is trapped air with your radiators. As a result, they wouldn’t be able to heat up. If your heating system isn’t working despite having hot water, it could be due to a faulty heating system. When you notice that your home or the water in it can’t stay hot, it might be time to get an upgrade, as that is a common sign of a malfunctioned boiler.

Low Pressure

When the pressure is low, it can lead to things like no hot water and cold radiators. You can typically find your pressure on the display panel of your builder. Your average pressure level should be set around 1.5 bars. The pressure can often drop due to a leak in your boiler system or a bleeding radiator.
